When the mean streets meets the clean streets with the mean beats, you get a group that raises eyebrows and moves crowds. T.r.i., Miladah and Gates... Three different individuals with the same path and dreams...
from Broken homes and lower income backgrounds in Yonkers and the Bronx...
Found refuge in music... The Story; Miladah, the only female singer in the group, needed a rapper to do a verse on one of her tracks for her debut solo album.
Working at the Loft Studio in the clean and pristine suburbs of Bronxville, NY, she started networking and found Gates aka
"Hip Hop Jesus" through a family member living in the bronx "152"
projects. Gates and Miladah hit it off instantly and started performing live and television shows together. Gates then pulled in T.r.i. aka "That Dude"
from their O.P. crew to round out the group. They hit the studio with producer/engineer Matt Noble (Rihanna, Akyinele, larger Professor) to write and record 8 songs. Their influences range from the highs and lows of everyday life...
and artists like Nas, Mary J. Blige, Al Green, Prince, Public Enemy, Motown, Aerosmith, Nirvana, and most all types of music...
As T.r.i. says "a little hip hop with some rock and roll" to which Gates replies... " Yes Yes Yes... You feel me?" |
